Its time to get some creativity pumping! We want the sun to stay and stick around this summer and do not want too much rain! Join us in creating sun sticks!
Size of group: 1-5
Supplies Needed: Sticks of all sizes, Paint, Brushes, Masking tape/Painting tape. Imagination/Creativity, Yarn
Description: This activity does involve paint so set up your activity in an area that you don’t mind getting paint on things or place newspaper down or another barrier on any table. Now take your selves outside and go for a little walk to find a few sticks and or branches. Once Branches are collected then head back to your painting station and let’s get to work!
- Start by laying sticks out in front of you and plan the design. You can use the tape to create lines and designs on the stick in which you will paint on the sticks.
- Paint your design and let them dry. Make a bunch of colorful pieces of work. Once done with that you can use yarn and wrap it around the stick and in different locations.
- These sticks will add color to your yard and gardens as decorations throughout. The colors will catch the sun and create happy vibes!
